What to Expect During an Inspection

Did you receive a mosquito inspection door hanger?

Here's what is next!

Vector Control Specialists are requesting to conduct an inspection of your yard to identify potential sources for mosquitoes. Once identified, the specialist will provide recommendations to address sources that can contribute to an increase in mosquito populations.

Why are mosquitoes so important?

Mosquitoes can transmit diseases like West Nile virus, Zika, dengue fever, chikungunya, and yellow fever through the bite of an infected mosquito.

Look to see if there is West Nile virus activity in your community!

What are vector control specialists looking for during an inspection?

That's very simple! We're looking for containers or items that hold water for more than 5-7 days. Mosquitoes need stagnant water to go through their life cycle and a mosquito source can be as small as a bottle cap.

Take a look around your yard. Download our Mosquito Source Checklist.

What do I need to do?

Please call or text the number provided on the door hanger and share the case number assigned. We will schedule an inspection on specific days and times for your neighborhood.
